As 2022 draws to a close, we are reminded that time marches on. On a personal level, it is a reminder that none of us lives forever. That’s a gruesome thought for about 50% to 70% of Americans who are unbelievers. Those who live without Jesus Christ see death as the end. Those of us with faith in Jesus have the sure promise of eternity with Him.
For most, the year’s end is not just the “end,” but the beginning of a new year. So, as you look into the near future, what is your posture? Are you hopeful—that is, full of hope? Perhaps a better question is, “Are you prayerful?” If so, what are you praying for?
Our hope is that, on your prayer list, you will thank God for His blessings in 2022—in spite of the challenges of inflation, war, health issues, loss of a loved one, financial issues, politics, or whatever. Our hope is that you will “keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end” (Hebrews 12:2).
Those of us at Church Doctor Ministries thank God for your connection to this ministry. Your prayers and support empower us to help Christians and their churches—God’s people—to be more effective in reaching the 50% to 70%. How important is that for this world and for our nation?
As we look back upon this last year, we thank God for all the churches we have helped to become more effective for God’s Kingdom work. The impact doesn’t end with the last day of this year! Improved, more effective ministry—and outreach—will continue in those churches.
One of the huge projects of the Church Doctor Ministries team in 2022 has been publishing (by Amazon) of the book An Apple a Day, with 365 daily devotions. Each one takes only three to five minutes to read. It is a unique and powerful way for anyone—even those who are unchurched or unbelievers—to be impacted by the power of God’s Word. Many churches are urging every member to take the Apple a Day Challenge—to spend a year engaged in Scripture that speaks to the challenges of life. We are very excited that many Christians are giving the book to unchurched friends, relatives, neighbors, and those at work or school.
We thank God for you, your love for Jesus, your commitment to His work, and your prayers for Church Doctor Ministries.
May God bless you in this coming year. We thank Him for you!
