Living your faith?

Ever find yourself talking about advancing the Christian mission but doing little about it?  We’re called to be fishers of men not keepers of the aquarium.  The Bible says faith without action is dead.   Instead of talking the talk, it’s time to walk the walk—because faith requires action.

Here’s my prescription: Schedule a few hours for quiet time with God.  Spend time in Bible study and prayer.   Is what you believe being translated into action?  Are you satisfied with how you live out your faith?  If you realize you’re talking more than you’re doing, pray for God to help you.  If you want to get your church moving for God, you need to start by getting yourself in gear.

“Let your enthusiastic idea at the start be equaled by your realistic action now.”                2 Corinthians 8:11b (LB)
