This analogy looks at the church as a team that is focused on winning. Your team is your church. You, as a Christian, are one who is playing to win rather than playing not to lose.
The focus is on your willingness to risk: your comfort, your activities, even yourself—for the purpose of reaching others, to win them to Jesus.
While it is important to be spiritually conservative, the outreach of Christians, by faith, steps out in unknown territory, adapting to the world in order to effectively reach others for Christ…never compromising on the content of faith, yet always flexible when using strategies.
