Tracee J. Swank
Leader, Consultant and Leadership Coach
Tracee J. Swank serves as the leader of Church Doctor Ministries, and is a certified Church Doctor consultant, certified leadership coach and certified Building a Story Brand Guide. Tracee is committed to helping local churches and ministry organizations discover their purpose and mission in the communities they serve. Tracee is passionate about resourcing and releasing Christian leaders to help fulfill the Great Commission through coaching, consulting, and teaching. Tracee leads the ministry staff team, supervises the training and development of Church Doctor Coaches and Consultants, and oversees the advancement of the mission of the ministry. Tracee has an undergraduate degree in organization development from the University of Toledo. She received a master’s degree in Theological Studies and Spiritual Formation from the Winebrenner Theological Seminary. Tracee’s spare time is usually filled with reading, writing, and studying trends in Christianity. When not traveling for ministry work, she can be found in her kitchen adapting and trying new recipes or outside vegetable gardening. She lives in northwest Ohio with her husband, Matt, and their black lab, Beckett. Together, Tracee and Matt (and Beckett) train assistance dogs for Assistance Dogs of America.
Kent R. Hunter
Kent R. Hunter is the founder of Church Doctor Ministries. He has served as a pastor in Michigan, Indiana, and South Australia. In the past 40 years, Kent has consulted more than 1,700 churches from 78 denominations, fellowships, and movements. Kent is the architect of Healthy Churches Thrive!: a 36-month spiritual adventure to prepare churches for the coming revival, and SEND North America: a training experience to equip young adults to be missionaries to their culture. Kent received his Ph.D. from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and the D.Min degree from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. He is the author of 32 books on the subject of church health, vitality, and the effectiveness of the church. Kent says his reason for being on this earth is to help Christians and churches become more effective for the Great Commission, to make disciples of all peoples. He recognizes that America is the third largest mission field in the world (behind China and India). His passion is to come alongside pastors and church leaders to provide encouragement, direction, and focus and turn challenges into opportunities for mission through the local church. Kent lives on a certified tree farm in northeast Indiana with his wife, Janet. Kent and Janet have two grown children, Laura and Jon.

Rev. Dennis Kutzner
Dennis and Carol often travel together, offering a challenging and tender approach to teaching ministry. They are widely known for their motivational, leadership, and marriage conferences.
Dr. Christine A. Timm
Chrysanne lives in Sylvania with her husband, Craig. They have one daughter, Holly, and two sons, Matthew and Brian. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with family and friends, reading, knitting, antique shopping, boating, and Taekwon-Do (she is a first-degree Black Belt).
Dr. Barry Kolb
In addition, Barry serves as:
- A field consultant for Church Doctor Ministries
- Workshop teacher for inmate pastors for 13 years at the largest maximum security prison in America, Louisiana State Prison in Angola, LA, using Crossways materials (Biblical Timeline, See Through the Scriptures, Divine Drama, and various short courses).
- Vice President of Christ for India (org). He has led pastor’s conferences, taught seminary courses, and preached extensively in India on many occasions.
- President of India Missions Foundation.
Barry and his wife Nancy have two grown children: Eric (Sheryl) & Terri and one grandson: Joshua (Kristina) all who live the Dallas/Ft Worth area. His personal mission statement is: See the VISION…Live the MISSION…Feel the PASSION. Barry’s life verse is: Proverbs 3:5-6.
Tom has over 30 years of experience in ministry. Over that time, discipleship and leadership development have been a hallmark of his ministry. He has had the privilege of mentoring dozens of lay and professional church leaders over the years. He has also led churches through nearly every significant transition including birth, redevelopment, and merger.nced settings.
For the past 20 years, Todd has begun, developed, and led church organizations ranging in size for a few dozen to a few thousand. He continues to provide coaching for business and ministry leaders and most recently led a six-month cohort of new pastors who’d just graduated from the seminary. He excel in keynote speaking, mission/vision formation, and strategic planning with a focus toward discipleship and multiplication.
Chelsey Strickler joined Church Doctor Ministries as a SEND North America graduate. She serves as the SEND Recruiting Coordinator and on the Marketing Team for Church Doctor Ministires, providing design and marketing assistance. Chelsey graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication, focusing on public relations and English. Since graduating, she has consistently worked in ministry, feeling called to serve God through communication.
In her free time, Chelsey loves to spend time with her family and friends, go on adventures, read crime novels, and play the piano. She is always seeking something new to learn and loves hearing people’s stories.
In his spare time, he is an active member and serves on a worship team at his church, St. Joseph UMC, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In addition to that, he enjoys reading legal thrillers, hiking, traveling, and enjoys spending time with his family. Jason has been married to his wife Laura since 2004 and they have two daughters.
Moving frequently as a child to and from four different states, he currently resides in Fort Wayne, IN. Matt has a strong rooted faith that started as a child and has grown deeper as he watched and admired his father become a pastor in 2016.
While in his free time Matt loves watching and playing sports, especially soccer. Spending time with his family and friends playing board and card games, hiking, and watching movies is also another favorite of his. Matt especially enjoys the Star Wars franchise where he collects memorabilia and can quote the movies.
Assistant to the Leader
Bethany joined the Church Doctor Ministries team in March of 2020 and serves as the assistant to the leader. Prior to this position she operated a daycare in her home for 7 years. She felt a call to ministry as a teen and enjoys any opportunity to help lead others toward Christ. She assists her husband, Todd, in leading the youth at their local church and is involved in the Mops ministry there. She has three children and lives at her childhood home in the country. In her spare time she likes to go on hikes, work in her garden, bake, and read.
John Wargowsky serves on the Marketing Team for Church Doctor Ministries and SEND North America and lives in Delaware, Ohio. He attends Northgate Church. He serves in Prison Outreach Ministries that goes into Ohio prisons with a major focus being a weekly prayer ministry at the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
He has called square dances and led line, round, folk and novelty dances for 35 years. He was born and reared on the family farm in north central Ohio with 30 years of experience in agricultural associations.
The SEND Movement Leader
Jonathan Hunter joined the Church Doctor Ministry staff in November 2015 as SEND North America’s Mission and Discipleship Coordinator. He currently serves as The SEND Movement Leader for Church Doctor Ministries. Jon and his wife, Esther, most recently served as missionaries to Malaysia serving as teachers in an international school and assisting with a church plant in Kuala Lumpur. Jon and Esther previously served in ministry in England.
